New Taipei City . Ping-shi
Ping-shi is located in the New Taipei City and is world famous for the beautiful Ping-shi Sky Lantern Festival. You could spend the whole day exploring Ping-shi and Jingtong. Jingtong is the terminal station on the Old Ping-shi Railway. For such a small town, it actually has a lot of charm. There is an “old town” feel to it with its memorabilia from the olden days of the railway. Historic railway stamps and collectibles can be found in the museum, and some fine paper made arts and crafts can be found in the small shops nearby. It is also popular to write wishes on bamboo and hang them next to the train tracks. Walking down the old street you will find many old fashioned stores selling various local delicacies and some old buildings that have been converted into cafes.
